The South Korean company Hyundai Rotem, which is developing a hydrogen train, has published a new video with a #hydrogen train on its official website.
Earlier in June #Hyundai Rotem made significant announcements regarding the development of high-speed trains and their vision for achieving carbon neutrality through hydrogen mobility at the “RailLog Korea 2023.”(https://is.gd/r2PaY8)
After that, it was planned to start train tests with an aim to overcome 2,500 km on test lines in Oson and Ulsan by the end of this year. Moreover, the possibility of its operation in Germany is to be estimated.
The process of creation the prototype took 14 months and involved 22 companies. The total cost of the project amounted to KRW 42.2 bln ($32.4 mln). The tram with both hydrogen and battery power is claimed to have range of 150 km. The refueling process is declared to take 10 minutes.
