The China’s first large-scale green hydrogen project with photovoltaic power completed 

China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (“Sinopec”) completed the construction of the Sinopec Xinjiang Kuqa Green Hydrogen Pilot Project, the company announced.The project is China’s first large-scale utilization of photovoltaic power generation to produce green hydrogen directly. Utilizing the abundant solar resources in Xinjiang, the Project has an electrolyzed water hydrogen plant with an annual capacity of 20,000 tons, a spherical hydrogen storage tank with a hydrogen storage capacity of 210,000 standard cubic meters, and hydrogen transmission pipelines with a capacity of 28,000 standard cubic meters per hour.
