Korean hydrogen drone maker Hylium to open branch in Essen, Germany

Korea-based Hylium Industries, a hydrogen-powered drone maker, plans to open a European branch in Essen, Germany in 2024, EWG (Essen Business Promotion Agency) has announced.

The company is already receiving assistance through the “HyTechCheck” program, which aims to support H2 technology companies in entering the European market.

The EWG said it has set up meetings with well-known Essen companies that can help with market entry or use the hydrogen drone themselves. “These include H2UB, TÜV NORD GROUP, E.ON, Rosin Büdenbender Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH, Linde GmbH.

Hylium Industries launched its hydrogen drone weighing over 20kg and with a wingspan of 2m at the 22nd German Energy Law Day 2023 in Essen on 22 August.
