German retailer REWE began using a hydrogen truck

REWE starts with hydrogen trucks from its startup Hylane in the northern region of the Germany, the company announced. Thanks to the seven storage containers integrated into the vehicle, the Hyundai “XCIENT Fuel Cell” vehicle can have a range of around 400 kilometers. Depending on the temperature, the truck can be fully recharged within eight to 20 minutes. Schmitz Cargobull has equipped the vehicle with a special body with cooling and tail lift to meet the daily demands on the road. To ensure a permanent supply of hydrogen for the vehicle, Hylane works closely with H2 MOBILITY, which operates hydrogen filling stations nationwide.
