Danish company Everfuel with partners of Danish hydrogen industry has developed a list of five recommendations for the state financing of the coming hydrogen pipeline, the Everfuel announced. They are:
State guarantee for a strategic and market-driven investment decision
Flexible financial framework conditions for the infrastructure owner
Strengthened Danish-German agreement on cross-border hydrogen infrastructure
Future-proof hydrogen infrastructure
Competitive hydrogen transport in Denmark via possible state support
The expected socioeconomic gains are EUR ~9 billion (DKK 60mia.) in 2060. Everfuel is among the first few hydrogen producers ready to supply hydrogen in large quantities to national and international customers via hydrogen pipelines.
Denmark and Germany recently proposed a plan to establish a land-based hydrogen pipeline between the two countries by 2028. During a visit to Copenhagen, German Vice Chancellor Peter Habeck and Danish Minister of Climate, Energy, and Utilities Lars Aagard reached an agreement to support the development and implementation of hydrogen infrastructure projects for potential operators and users.
