Enova has granted  NOK 34.8 million in support for ten hydrogen vehicles and for three hydrogen refuling stations

Norwegian government agency Enova has granted  NOK 9.8 million in support for ten hydrogen vehicles and NOK 25 million in support for three hydrogen stations. The ten commitments for vehicles all go to the logistics company SR Group with headquarters in Rogaland. Three filling stations in Dombås, Stavanger and Vestby receive support and Vireon has six months to make an investment decision for these. If the stations are established, they will be the first filling stations in Norway that are sized for trucks, in addition to the station ASKO has established in Trondheim and the station at Hellesylt that Vireon is already establishing.

– We are pleased that Enova supports the development of filling stations for green hydrogen. Support for three stations is a good start, but many more stations are needed for hydrogen to become a real alternative to diesel in heavy transport. We must build corridors that give transport companies the necessary security they need to replace diesel with hydrogen. We hope that Enova will contribute to this in the upcoming tenders, says Per Øyvind Voie, CEO of Vireon.
