The Green Hydrogen Coalition announced that it released of “Expanding Horizons: Best Practices for Modeling Long-Duration Energy Storage (LDES).” This report examines early-stage studies and interviews with LDES modeling practitioners to highlight several “must-haves” for modeling LDES for long-term planning purposes, the GHC said.
The GHC extends its deepest gratitude to all the participants, including California Energy Commission, Electric Power Research Institute, Mitsubishi Power Americas, National Association of State Energy Officials, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Peninsula Clean Energy, University of California, Merced, Washington State Department of Commerce, Western Electricity Coordinating Council, Western Interstate Energy Board, and the Wyoming Energy Authority.
