Lhyfe builds the largest commercial green hydrogen production plant in Germany

In Schwäbisch Gmünd, Baden-Württemberg, Lhyfe will produce up to 4 tonnes per day of green hydrogen (about 1,000 tonnes per year) based on 10 MW installed capacity, the company said. This will be Lhyfe’s 1st large production plant outside of France

The plant, which will use renewable electricity secured from hydro, wind and solar power purchase agreements, should be commissioned in the second half of 2024. The hydrogen will be used partly in the “H2-Aspen” industrial park and at a JET H2 hydrogen filling station.

The ceremony for the production plant  took place on 12 October.
