Hyzon has delivered its first fuel cell electric vehicle in North America

“As one of the nation’s first to be delivered to a customer, our heavy-duty FCEV was delivered to Approved Transportation & Warehousing, a drayage fleet operating at the United States’ busiest port( Port of Los Angeles & Port of Long Beach)”, the company announced on 29 November.

Hear from Hyzon CEO Parker Meeks: “Decarbonizing heavy industries is critical to building a cleaner future and hydrogen is our greatest tool to make it happen economically. Port drayage is a perfect use case for hydrogen FCEVs, thanks to its concentrated back-to-base operations, centralized fueling potential, and multiple subsidy funding opportunities. Hyzon’s proprietary fuel cell technology can power these trucks carrying heavy loads to, from and beyond the Port for multiple operating shifts without downtime. This first-time delivery proves the transition to zero-emission, hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicles is not only possible but practical.”
