HH2E and GASCADE announce pipeline grid connection agreement for hydrogen

HH2E has concluded a contract with GASCADE for the grid connection of the green hydrogen production facility in Lubmin to the European Gas Pipeline Link (EUGAL lines 1 and 2), starting by the end of 2025 at the latest, the HH2E announced.

This link will allow green hydrogen to be blended into the natural gas grid, and in future HH2E plans to to utilise the “𝔽𝕝𝕠𝕨 – 𝕞𝕒𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕙𝕪𝕕𝕣𝕠𝕘𝕖𝕟𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕟” pipeline as soon as its capacities can be booked.

Statements on this were made by Alexander Voigt from HH2E, Ulrich Benterbusch from GASCADE and State Secretary Michael Kellner from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action during their visit to GASCADE’s compression station in Baruth/Mark. They discussed the future of hydrogen infrastructure and its crucial role in Germany’s energy landscape.
