Linde Engineering and Daimler Truck opened the world’s first public sLH₂ refueling station in Germany

«Together with Daimler Truck AG, we opened the world’s first public Subcooled Liquid Hydrogen (sLH₂) refueling station in Wörth/Rhein, Germany», the Linde Engineering announced.

sLH₂ is just as easy for drivers to use as diesel fuel: Connect the tank nozzle and in 10 to 15 minutes the vehicle is ready for the next 1,000 km. The good news for filling station operators: Compared to existing hydrogen filling stations, the costs for purchase and operation are considerably lower. From a technical point of view, the system is much simpler, and only 5% of the energy previously required is needed to handle the hydrogen.
