Fraunhofer IEG has published a new report on the financing of Germany’s hydrogen network

Pipelines will be the backbone of the sustainable hydrogen economy in the future. The so-called core network will connect the major consumers, producers and import ports. The development of such an infrastructure is of overriding public interest. But how robust is the financing of the hydrogen core network? The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Policy commissioned the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Energy Infrastructures and Geothermal Energy IEG, the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI, ConGas and Consentec to prepare an expert report to answer this question.
