Grøn Brint started their hot commissioning program, adding power and producing the first hydrogen molecules from its Hjørring plant, the Norwegian Hydrogen announced.
This marks a key milestone in the company’s journey toward the production of green hydrogen for their customer, biogas company JPLL HOLDING A/S.
“We are on the brink of a new era in green energy,” says Jens Berge, CEO of Norwegian Hydrogen, one of two 50/50 joint venture owners in Danish Grøn Brint.
The other owner is their local partner Mr. Jens Peter Lunden and his company JPLL HOLDING A/S.
“The commissioning of our electrolyzers is not just a technical milestone; it’s another bold and important step towards realizing our vision of a sustainable, decarbonized future. In partnership with Jens Peter Lunden and our customer, we’re setting new standards for clean energy production, Jens Berge, CEO Norwegian Hydrogen and Chairman at Grøn Brint said.
Moving closer to full production, the collaboration with GrønGas will be instrumental in demonstrating the practical applications and benefits of green hydrogen in combination with biogenic CO2. The end product will be sold as liquid e-methane to the German market.
“This groundbreaking project represents a significant step forward in our commitment to sustainable energy solutions. We are excited to see Grøn Brint reaching this important stage and look forward to what comes next. This collaboration is not just about advancing green hydrogen technology; it’s about setting new benchmarks for sustainability and innovation in the energy sector”, Allan K. Olesen, CEO of GrønGas said.
