Hopium launches the production of prototype of its hydrogen fuel cell

Hopium, the cleantech company (headquartered in Paris), specialising in the development of hydrogen fuel cell electric drive solutions, has announced a major milestone: the launch of prototype production of the commercial versions of its hydrogen fuel cell. Having validated the reliability of the digital twin in terms of all its characteristics, Hopium has now finalised the optimisation of the 100 kW and 200 kW commercial versions of its hydrogen fuel cell and is launching the manufacture of the physical prototypes of these commercial versions.

On the strength of this validation, Hopium is now ready for the next phase of its project: the production of functional prototypes of the commercial versions of the fuel cell, with outputs of 100 kW and 200 kW. To this end, Hopium has just placed an order with its long-standing suppliers and partners. The first tests of a complete commercial system on a test bench are planned for mid-2024, with road tests in the second half of 2024, paving the way for market launch in early 2025.
