HyLight, a French company that makes dirigible drones powered by hydrogen fuel cell electric motors, has announced that it has raised €3.7m in funding.
The HyLight blimp drones are designed for aerial inspections including gas pipelines from the position of detecting methane leaks.
“Our objective is to inspect more than 5 million kilometres of European energy infrastructure per year by 2030. In 1 year, we have : – Developed 6 iterations of our dirigible drones. – Flown more than 150 hours”, the HyLight stated.
