Hioki announced that it delivered the ALDAS-E, a system for measuring impedance in water electrolyzers and MEAs 1, to Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).
JAXA is conducting research on fuel cells, regenerative fuel cell, production of oxygen and hydrogen through the electrolysis of water, and Sabatier reactions, and the agency needs technology to analyze impedance while devices are energized with high levels of current in order to resolve problems during the water electrolysis process. The ALDAS-E can collect data while electrolysis devices operate under large currents, a capability that is needed when combining water electrolyzers, water electrolysis cells, and technologies that use Sabatier reactions.
