Hysolar/Greenpoint Nieuwegein will start producing of hydrogen this summer, a first in the Utrecht region, the company said. In anticipation of the start of production, Hysolar/Greenpoint has prepared itself to be a switching point for the distribution of green hydrogen.
After Hysolar/Greenpoint put the first public hydrogen filling station into operation in 2021, new hydrogen filling stations have been added in the region. And a wide range of vehicles are gradually appearing on the road and in the construction industry. A next phase is dawning for hydrogen customers, now that Hysolar/Greenpoint itself is starting to produce green hydrogen. “At the same time as the construction of the production facility, we invested in transport containers and an additional parking space for trailers,” says Joan van Kessel, co-shareholder in Hysolar, with some pride. “Think of supplying zero-emission construction sites, other hydrogen filling stations and applications in industry.”
