The city of Neumünster put its first waste collection vehicle Bluepower into operation

“We handed over our Medium X4 with Bluepower drive to the city of Neumünster and are delighted that another emission-free waste collection vehicle is now on the road in Germany”, the ZÖLLER-KIPPER GmbH announced.

“The Bluepower combines innovative hydrogen fuel cell technology with eMobility and therefore has a particularly long range. The vehicle’s drive and the operation of the body with lifter are purely electric, while the hydrogen serves as an additional range extender – for longer collection tours of up to 300 kilometers.

This means that our Bluepower only has to recharge a maximum of 80 kWh overnight and also quickly has valuable energy reserves thanks to refuelling with hydrogen. The recuperation energy generated during continuous start-stop operation is also utilised”.
