The founders of OWW Oberpfälzer Wasserstoffwerke GmbH received a funding notification for 5 million euros from the Bavarian electrolysis funding programme BAYFELI, the Hydrogenity GmbH announced.
At the Pilsach, Waldeck site, in the direct neighbourhood of the CHEFS CULINAR food logistics plant currently under construction and opposite the Baernreuther and Deuerlein gravel production plant, as well as close to the Biogas plant of Bioenergie I&N, the hydrogen plant is to be built, which will utilise renewable electricity.
The project will start with a 6 megawatt plant with a hydrogen production capacity of 500 to 700 tonnes of green hydrogen per year; the plant can be expanded to 12 megawatts of power and up to 1,400 tonnes of green hydrogen production capacity per year at a later date.
