QUANTRON Completes Acceleration Tests of its Hydrogen-Tank at MESSRING

“We are pleased to announce that QUANTRON has successfully completed their acceleration test  at MESSRING Testing Services, confirming the reliability and safety of their hydrogen-powered vehicle components, the MESSRING  reported. “The test adhered to the ECE-R134 regulations, which ensure the highest safety standards for hydrogen and fuel cell vehicles.

The vehicle’s tank mounts were subjected to demanding conditions, with acceleration tests conducted in both the X (minimum 10g) and Y (minimum 5g) directions. Using an original vehicle frame with empty tanks mounted on standard holders, the test replicated real-world conditions by simulating the weight of hydrogen (4.1kg per tank).

These tests were performed using our Compact Impact Sled (CIS) System, one of the most versatile and precise tools for passive safety testing. The CIS provides exceptional control over acceleration pulses, enabling highly repeatable testing conditions.

After each acceleration run the mounts were inspected for any signs of slippage or deformation. We are happy to report that Quantron’s system passed with flying colors, showing no abnormalities, and reaffirming the safety and durability of their hydrogen mobility solutions”.
