HOPIUM, the cleantech company aiming to decarbonise heavy transport, announces that it has integrated the optimised version of its 100 kW fuel cell into the complete control system developed entirely by its R&D teams. As a reminder, Hopium has succeeded in optimising the mass of its 100 kW fuel cell, bringing it down to under 25kg, while maintaining the same performance as that validated last July during bench tests.
By choosing to design and control all aspects of the technology in-house, Hopium has been able to push back the boundaries of what is possible. From the design of its fuel cell stack to its integration in the system, via the development of digital twins, test benches and the control system, each stage has been carried out with uncompromising precision and rigour.
During this new stage, the 100 kW battery, lightened and optimised, was placed in its envelope and then tested on test benches entirely designed and developed in-house. The system into which the battery has been successfully integrated includes the control-command, which is the system’s on-board intelligence enabling all the actuators (compressor, pumps, valves, etc.) to be controlled and monitored.
