H2SITE installed a fully automated plant for the conversion of natural gas into hydrogen in Spain

H2SITE announced that has just finalised SAT of a natural gas reforming unit at the facilities of CNH2 – Centro Nacional del Hidrógeno(CNH2) in Puertollano (Spain), as part of Macbeth project.

Within Macbeth, H2SITE’s advanced membrane reactor technology demonstrates the conversion of natural gas into hydrogen, recovering this gas with very high outlet purities.

The prototype, which operates almost fully automated, produces 40 kg/day of hydrogen.

This technology is key in the process of reforming biofuels, methanol, and water-gas shift membrane reactors. By achieving reaction and separation in a single step, we guarantee maximum efficiency in transforming the carrier into high-purity hydrogen.
