Enapter will supply four AEM Nexus electrolysers to Falconara hydrogen project

From an abandoned chemical plant to a multi-megawatt clean energy hydrogen hub: This project is set to revitalise Italy’s Ancona province with green energy

The Falconara Hydrogen Project by Renko SpA and the AVIZO EUROAGRICOLA Group is taking shape.Together, they have formed Opificio Idrogeno Marche to transform the former Montedison  plant into a renewable energy hub.The €70 million project will initially focus on building a green hydrogen production facility.

Enapter will supply four AEM Nexus electrolysers, delivering a total capacity of 4 MW. Hydrogen production will take place in a restored pavilion of the former Montedison plant, with further renovations planned for the remaining structures.

The second phase includes the construction of a 30 MW agrivoltaics plant to feed energy into the grid.

Powered by a dedicated 7.8 MWp photovoltaic system, Enapter’s containerised multi-core electrolysers will produce green hydrogen, primarily for clean mobility.
