Rockfin: Installation of The First Maximator Hydrogen Refueling Station in Poland to Commence Early in 2025

Rockfin successfully completed a key milestone in the project for ORLEN S.A. hydrogen refueling station at Gdynia at Wielkopolska 239 (station no. 650). Together with representatives of ORLEN S.A., GZOG Energy and in collaboration with Maximator Hydrogen GmbH Maximator Hydrogen GmbH in Germany , Rockfin conducted the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at the manufacturing facility in Nordhausen.

Rockfin scope of work included:

Procurement and delivery of advanced hydrogen refueling technology,

Review and approval of Maximator’s design documentation,

Verification of testing procedures for the station,

Technical inspection of components and conformity with technical specifications,

Testing of key safety features, including emergency shutdown in the event of hydrogen detection,

Trial refueling of a Hyundai Nexo – 5.4 kg of hydrogen (700 bar) in just 190 seconds.

This will be the first Maximator station in Poland, offering the capability to refuel both passenger vehicles and heavy-duty trucks simultaneously, supporting the development of hydrogen infrastructure in the country. Following the successful testing and signing of the documentation, the station has been approved for transport to Poland. Installation in Gdynia is planned to commence in the first quarter of 2025.
