Hopium unveils a new facility where it aims to develop hydrogen equipments

Hopium , the cleantech company that aims to decarbonize heavy transport, announces that it has inaugurated its new low-carbon production site in Saint-Bonnet-de-Mure, located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

This new site, situated in the Rhône-Alpes hydrogen corridor, welcomes Hopium employees on fuel cell assembly, research and development (R&D) activities, as well as validation and testing teams. With 1,000 m2 of surface area combining eco-responsibility (250 m2 of solar panels and double A DPE) and strategic location, Hopium is establishing itself in a dynamic ecosystem in the field of mobility and hydrogen but also at the heart of a local pool of know-how and talents from which it will be able to benefit for its future development.

Stéphane Rabatel, CEO of Hopium, also recalled Hopium’s latest advances, namely the design of a 100 kW fuel cell weighing less than 25 kg, which is 30% more compact and 20% lighter than the market leaders, but also the partnership with K-Challenge, the successful bench tests of its 100 kW cell in July and the successful road tests in early October (TRL7 validation) which confirmed characteristics and performances unmatched to date for models of the same power.
