Harnyss announced that with the Guidiville Indian Rancheria in Mendocino County, California, they have taken a significant step toward energy independence with the purchase of a renewable energy microgrid. This system integrates solar PV with the Harnyss Oasis microgrid, which features electrostatic long-duration energy storage alongside on-site hydrogen production, storage, and a fuel cell for backup power.
“We are excited to work with Michael Derry and the Guidiville Council, as well as Phillip Martin of Emtel Energy USA, Sean Ahern of Timberline Renewable Energy, and our valued partners,” said Kirby Smith, CEO of Harnyss.
This project, developed in partnership with Emtel Energy USA, Timberline Renewable Solutions, Colusa Indian Energy, 7Skyline, and Green-World Renewables, supports the Tribe’s commitment to clean, locally generated power while reducing reliance on traditional utilities.
Harnyss designs and manufactures modular, plug-and-play microgrid solutions featuring electrostatic energy storage and on-site hydrogen production for long-duration backup.
