PowerCell Group demonstrates HyFlex™ hydrogen power generator at the Port of Gothenburg

In a successful demonstration at the Port of Gothenburg, a Stena Line vessel was powered at berth by the HyFlex™ hydrogen power generator, the PowerCell Group reported in its LinkedIn.

The HyFlex, developed by Hitachi Energy in collaboration with PowerCell Group, embodies the potential of green energy solutions. It shows that fuel cell technology is not only viable, it’s ready for real-world industrial applications, such as providing ships with sustainable shore power.

“The green transition demands innovative solutions, and hydrogen-electric power has great potential to relieve the grid and enable emission-free shore connections.” Patrik Brouzell, SVP Sales, PowerCell Group

This was made possible through a joint effort between Hitachi Energy, PowerCell Group, Stena Line, Linde Gas, and The Port of Gothenburg, a collaboration reflecting a shared ambition to accelerate sustainable solutions in the maritime sector.

The event was featured on Swedish national television, watch the coverage here: https://lnkd.in/davXzmJ7
