Coolergy Unveils Prototype of the World’s First Mobile Refrigerator Powered by Liquid Hydrogen Fuel Cells

Coolergy S.L., a leading innovator in liquid hydrogen (LH2) technologies, has presented a prototype of the world’s first mobile refrigerator powered by liquid hydrogen fuel cells at CHE 2025, an exhibition dedicated to the hydrogen industry, held in Madrid. The prototype features two fuel cells, each capable of producing up to 80 kW, and is equipped with three liquid hydrogen tanks. This advanced powertrain enables the fuel cell-powered tractor unit to travel up to 3,000 kilometres without the need for refuelling. The refrigerator is currently on display adjacent to the Coolergy H58 stand in Hall N4 of the IFEMA exhibition centre. The official presentation is scheduled to take place on 18–19 June.

Also on show at the company’s stand is the COOLERGIZER – a fully operational mobile generator with a capacity of up to 80 kW.
