RES S.p.A. (RES) has signed a contract with ErreDue S.p.A., a company active in the design and production of alkaline and PEM type electrolysers, for the purchase of a hydrogen production plant for approximately Euro 1.4 million.
This relates to the advancement of the RES-H2 project, for the creation of a hydrogen valley through the production of green hydrogen from photovoltaic renewable sources, for which the Company had obtained a non-repayable loan of €5 million in 2023 as part of the implementation of the Next Generation EU-PNRR mission 2 Green Revolution and Ecological Transition plan.
The construction of the plant for the production of renewable hydrogen will complete the technological and plant park of the industrial pole of Pettoranello del Molise (IS), bringing to a close the reconversion plan of the former Ittierre area from a centre of Italian fashion to a pole of innovative recovery of plastic waste and its subsequent transformation, through both mechanical and chemical processes, into secondary raw materials according to the principles of the circular economy.
