“As the sun shone, our team successfully completed the first tow of our Dornier 228 Aircraft from the main hangar to our new Liquid Hydrogen Test and Refuel Facility at Cotswold Airport”, the company announced in its LinkedIn.
“This first movement of the aircraft to the site was all about rehearsing the towing route and conducting critical interface checks between the aircraft and the facility, in preparation for the first ground test and landmark flight using liquid hydrogen.
Liquid hydrogen offers superior volumetric energy density compared to its gaseous counterpart, making it a vital enabler for hydrogen-powered regional aircraft and extended-range capabilities”.
