ErreDue to supply a 1 MW electrolyser to the municipality of Guglionesi in Italy

ErreDue, has announced an agreement with Foglia Umberto Srl for the supply of a 1 MW PEM electrolysis unit to be delivered in 2025, which will be used to produce and store green hydrogen in a recycling centre to be built in the municipality of Guglionesi, Molise region, Italy.

The green hydrogen produced by the PEM electrolyser will be stored and then reused to produce heat. The electrical energy required to operate the electrolyser will be provided by a photovoltaic system with a capacity of about 2 MW, which will be located on the roof of the landfill.

The hydrogen production plant supplied by ErreDue consists of an electrolyser with a nominal capacity of 1 MW and will have a maximum capacity of 200 Nm3/h, totalling 3,200 MWh/year. The efficiency of the PEM plant will be 53 MWh/tH2 and a storage system is also planned to be installed next to it, within which the hydrogen produced will be stored.

The estimated energy consumption of the plant will be 3,200 MWh, hydrogen production will be entirely from renewable sources and the expected annual production will be about 60.38 tH2. The electricity will thus be generated entirely by directly connected photovoltaic systems.
