HH2E and GASCADE Gastransport GmbH Announce Pipeline Grid Connection Agreement for Hydrogen

“Exactly one year ago, for our production setup, we forged a crucial agreement with Nel Hydrogen in Norway for the supply of electrolysers”, the HH2E announced. “Now, for the distribution of our product, we’re contracting with GASCADE the grid connection of HH2E’s green hydrogen production site in Lubmin, on the German Baltic coast, to the European Gas Pipeline Link (EUGAL Lines 1 and 2). This connection enables the blending of our green hydrogen within the natural gas network.

In the future, our aim is the utilisation of the “Flow – making hydrogen happen” pipeline. Once its capacities can be booked, HH2E will begin using this extensive onshore pipeline system. Stretching from the Baltic Sea coast to southern Germany, it is a critical component of the draft for the German hydrogen core network.

In a significant event today, Alexander Voigt from HH2E joined Ulrich Benterbusch from GASCADE at their compression station in Baruth/Mark. Accompanied by State Secretary Michael Kellner, Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, they discussed the future of hydrogen infrastructure and its vital role in Germany’s energy landscape. This marks not just a technical advancement but a leap towards a greener, more sustainable future”
