Hexagon Purus showed 40ft hydrogen storage for Hypion’s first AFIR refueling station

«This is one of three 40ft hydrogen storage containers we’re manufacturing for HYPION GmbH», the Hexagon Purus reported in its LinkedIn.

Сontainers will be used at Hypion’s first AFIR compliant (Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation) hydrogen refueling station opened in Neumünster, Germany.

Known as MEGCs (multiple-element gas containers), these containers have an advanced setup that allows remote monitoring and control of the mobile storage to optimize the fueling process.

The refueling station with Resato Hydrogen Technology has two 350 bar dispensers and one 700 bar dispenser for refueling trucks and cars. It has a 2-tonne refueling capacity per day and is ready for the ramp-up-phase of hydrogen-powered heavy-duty vehicles.
